CARPET PROTECTION

Having been in the biz for a while, we've come across multiple carpet protectors and have thoroughly tested each of them out in order to separate the champion from the contenders. Eventually, Scotchgard came out as the clear victor in terms of utility and safety and is now our go-to protection for virtually every type of carpet we work on.

That being said, there are quite a few editions of Scotchgard to choose from, so we'll have to know what your carpet is made of, how old it is and what its environment is like. We'd never apply something that risks damaging the carpet's gentle fibers, nor would we advise you to apply 'any old' protection while disregarding the carpet's individual conditions.

In general, we try to round up every cleaning job by applying a protective substance to the carpet. (we never go against our clients' wishes, but why would they want anything less than the best for their carpets?) Carpet protection is an exceptionally powerful method simply because of the frequency of accidents in the average household – even the most caring owner will eventually spill that glass or wine or let his dog onto the carpet after the canine spent a good hour rolling through mud. Nobody's perfect, and you can't stand in attention by your carpet's side round-the-clock – our protection will give the carpet its own way of fighting back assaults. Think wool, but without being susceptible to stains and grime.

As already mentioned, every Scotchgard variety we apply is perfectly safe for everyone who could come in contact with the carpet. This includes allergic visitors, very young children, pets that are prone to sickness and everyone else who might have a bad reaction to a toxic chemical. We would never dream of bringing a safety hazard into your home, let alone during a procedure that has 'protection' in its name.

While our carpet protection will be active for a long time, everything has its shelf life – you'd do well to have us come over and re-apply the substance every once in a while for maximum results. Likewise, if you're dealing with a lot of household accidents around your carpet, chances are something unwanted will eventually pass through the surface and reach the carpet's inner layers – no carpet protection is absolute (even our own), so you should still call us for a semi-regular inspection to ensure that your carpet is indeed as pristine as it looks on the surface.
